Off-kiltered

We’re each a little so-so and better at different things — the fear of not measuring up stings.

Life’s sadness prevents us from feeling positive. In being stoic, embrace life as it is and know things change. Thoughts come and go. Being alive is like watching the weather: storms happen, and then there are sunny days too.

Be slightly odd. Presence requires practice and patience.

All unfolds, even if we lack the perspective to see.

It’s easy to see folly in others. Perhaps, now and then, we’ll have enough self-awareness to see it in ourselves and hopefully, reach some peace, humility, and forgiveness along the way, as time heals.

No matter what, photography sits and waits, and whenever we return, it looks up and asks, where have you been?
