Abandoned Buildings
Abandoned buildings dot rural Texas, but if restored, they’d make great workspaces, and I’d gladly rent one.
The beauty of art is that it reminds us that communities exist within and beyond the limits of municipalities. Renting an unused space could be money well spent. My time in Navasota introduced me to art in rural places and showed me that creativity is valuable everywhere and can happen anywhere.
Some abandoned buildings are ruins and rubble, some need renovations, and some are well maintained. New construction is generally safe and up to code.
