Abandoned Buildings
Abandoned buildings dot rural Texas, but if restored, they’d make great workspaces, and I’d gladly rent one.

Mercantile
The desire to ornament a small store in remote West Texas is different in my time. The roof ornamentation of the mercantile is an outward expression of something creative, and I like that.

Faithful
A faithful rendering is accurate to the scene and subject as viewed through the eye.
Simple Italianate
Simple Italianate houses fascinate me. The City of Cincinnati describes Italianates (1860 - 1890) as two or three stories high, rectangular in plan, with low-pitched roofs. They are brick with metal, stone, or wood ornamentation. A distinctive feature is a cornice. Their design is thin with tall windows, similar to 19th-century commercial buildings.
